Model 518 Invisible Wrap Around Hinge

SOSS® Invisible Hinge model #418 is for use in wood or metal applications that are 1-3/4″ thick. The model #418 is made of alloy steel. Our hinges are found in many applications where flush fit, compact size and smooth operation are necessary features. SOSS® Invisible Hinges open a full 180° and are a single action hinge.

The Underwriters Laboratories labeled the model #418 SOSS® Invisible Hinge can be used on hollow metal, sheet metal, tin clad, and steel composite swinging type fire doors and frames rated up to and including 3 hours. They can also be used on wood core doors and frames rated up to 20 minutes. Additionally, they can be used on wood/plastic composite doors and frames constructed with Georgia Pacific FS 1 or FS 2 banding for a rating up to and including 90 minutes.

SOSS® Invisible Hinge model #518 is for use in wood or metal applications that are a minimum of  1-3/4″. The model #518 is made of alloy steel materials. Solid alloy steel links add extra strength and durability.  This full size door style hinge is unique as it allows the door to wrap around applied molding or trim. Our Hinges are found in many applications where flush fit, compact size and smooth operation are necessary features. This is one of the only SOSS® Invisible Hinges that stops at 92°.

Fully concealed hinge:
This hinge is fully mortised in the door and frame. No hardware can be seen from either side of the door when closed resulting in low hinge maintenance and minimal reveal lines.

Unique installations:
This hinge can be used is designed to wrap around materials applied to the pull side face of the door. It allows reveal lines to be completley concealed and stops at 92 degrees.

Riveted non-removeable hinge pin for greater security.
